My journey with Space Apps Dar es Salaam began in 2023 when I participated in my first hackathon and earned 3rd place for developing a Virtual Geologist research platform. That pivotal moment led to an invitation to join the organizing team for the 2024 hackathon.
The 2024 hackathon was a remarkable success, uniting students from secondary schools and universities in a collaborative celebration of creativity and problem-solving. Partnering with Women Techmakers Dar es Salaam, we encouraged young girls to explore and excel in technology.
This experience was a testament to the power of innovation and mentorship. Together, we showcased how technology can inspire change, foster collaboration, and ignite passion in the next generation of technologists.
As we continue this journey, the goal remains to create more opportunities for learning and to empower everyone to reach for the stars.
